Therapy is woven into every session.
I integrate therapy into all sessions, including those focused on medication management. Not as an extra—but because how you relate to treatment matters. Does medication feel empowering, or like you're giving something up? Does it change how you feel? These aren't side questions; they're central. Many people are ambivalent about psychiatric medication; I make space for that. /

Symptoms aren't everything.
A patient once told me they admired Indiana Jones—the freedom, the adventure. They also hadn’t left their house in weeks. But beneath the anxiety was a wish to engage with the world. A vision, a value system. That’s what I look for: what the symptom is protecting, what it’s covering, and what might be underneath, waiting to be unlocked. /

Psychotherapy defines how I practice.
Early on, I was immersed in research—neuroscience, biomarkers, lab work. With psychotherapy training, I engaged with patients more comprehensively: not just through neurobiology, but through patterns, history, and relationship dynamics. That depth is what drew me in to clinical work—and it’s what continues to drive my work today, as a psychiatrist with a strong therapy focus. /
