The goal is to establish a complete picture of where you're at - and how this compares to objective diagnostic criteria. |

Hence, at Apraku Psychiatry, we emphasize psycho-education, namely the process of teaching you about the science underlying your condition - both the neuro-biology and environmental aspects - and what this means for the path to getting better. |
3treatmentTreatment options may include prescribed medication and targeted therapy. This two-pronged approach is likely to go hand-in-hand with recommendations for lifestyle adaptations and nutritional supplements. In regular follow-up appointments, your doctor will assess progress and refine treatment. |

Notwithstanding our commitment to inclusivity, younger and older patients may be better served by a psychiatrist who is sub-specialized in treating these populations. For this reason, we don't take on patients under 18, as certain psychiatrists have sub-specialty training in treating children and adolescents. Also, depending on their presenting symptoms, seniors may be more suited to seeing a psychiatrist who is sub-specialized in geriatric psychiatry. |
