I am mindful of attuning to what the body needs.
As a psychiatrist and certified yoga teacher, I understand the importance of bringing awareness to our physical body along with our mind. I celebrate how regulating our nervous system can be an important part of mental wellness. With patients, I offer a whole-body approach to psychotherapy through integration of body consciousness, mindfulness meditation and somatic movement. /

I am conscious of social inequities.
Our minds are connected with our history, cultures, social status and communities. In clinical practice, I provide critical approaches for individuals to examine personal experiences of systemic and internalized oppression. By examining how these systems influence our mental health, individuals are empowered to consciously challenge social norms that negatively impact overall well-being. /

Dual diagnosis refers to individuals with both mental health and substance use disorders. This layered complexity necessitates a nuanced approach to treatment. Through a combination of insightful psycho-education, personalized therapy, and judicious medication, I offer a compassionate framework, with comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each unique individual. /
